Jake Shane put the “freaky” in Freaky Friday when he imagined switching bodies with Sutton Foster for a day.
The TikTok star appeared on ABC News Live on March 4 to promote his Broadway debut in All Out: Comedy About Ambition when he was challenged to a "Leading Lady Lightning Round" of questions, beginning with six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald (Who would win a crying contest?). Next, Shane was asked what he would do if he had “a Freaky Friday moment” with Sutton, a veteran of the Great White Way (and Hugh Jackman's girlfriend).

“Yeah, I’d probably f--- Hugh Jackman,” Shane answered, without skipping a beat. In case the ABC censors bleeped out his response, he clarified, “I’d have intercourse with Hugh Jackman.”
“Love it, amazing,” replied ABC journalist Will Ganss, as he quickly moved on to the next question, about Taylor Swift. What three songs from her discography would Shane, a diehard Swiftie, pick to be included in the pop star’s rumored Female Rage: The Musical? “The Archer,” his all-time favorite, “But Daddy I Love Him,” and for the end, “Daylight.”
Foster and Jackman went public with their romance in January 2025, following months of speculation as they both separated from their respective spouses in the fall of 2024 (Jackman's ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furnace, officially filed for divorce in May 2025).

But the friendship between the two Broadway vets goes all the way back to at least 2008, when Jackman was photographed with Foster backstage at Shrek: The Musical, in which she played Princess Fiona. Six years later, Jackman hosted the 2014 Tony Awards and during a skit he danced with each of the Leading Actress nominees, including Foster who was up for Violet.
In 2019, the two were cast as the leads in The Music Man, which was postponed by COVID-19, but eventually opened in 2022.
"And he’s now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise, because you usually go into these things thinking, 'Well, I hope we get along,'" Foster told Vogue that year. "It’s really fun to meet new friends after 40."
