This morning, I was scrolling through social media and drinking my coffee when I came across this video of a British tourist moving towels off pool chairs at a hotel.

@rachaelrogers11 /tiktok.comThe TikTok has garnered nearly 3 million views and also made its way over to X (formerly Twitter). It was posted by a woman who goes by Nanny Rachael, with a bio reading: "Devoted Nanny just living her best life." She recently vacationed at the Mediterranean Palace, a hotel located in Tenerife.

@rachaelrogers11 /tiktok.comThe video begins with Rachael removing towels from pool chairs and sometimes taking off towel clips, too.

She folds them in a neat, little pile.

@rachaelrogers11 /tiktok.comThroughout the video and at the very end, she smiles at the camera. IDK if it's coming across in these screenshots, but she has a very sweet and playful energy!

@rachaelrogers11 /tiktok.comIn the caption, she wrote, "All week the same people would bag their spot by the pool. So today we decided to give them a little surprise and take them. All you at the Mediterranean Palace in Tenerife yes it was us 😁 #pool #sunlounger #tenerife #teachthemyoung #over60."Well! As you might imagine, there were lots of opinions in the comments.

tiktok.comIn a follow-up video, Rachael addressed some of the backlash in the comments and explained, "The reason I did it is because in half an hour's time, those seats won't be available, and people will be coming down, looking for seats and the ones that've put 'em on in their pajamas, dressing gowns, toodled off back to bed and left them, are now on the beach, having fun there, walking around the shops, then having their lunch, having their breakfast, then coming back about 2 o'clock in the afternoon and wanting those seats that they reserved at 6 o'clock in the morning. It's not on. It's not on."

@rachaelrogers11 /tiktok.com"It was just a bit of fun," she added. "We didn't stay to watch the carnage when people came back down. But you shouldn't be reserving sun lounges if you're not gonna sit on them. ... We've all paid the same for the holiday. We're all entitled to sit by the pool."

@rachaelrogers11 /tiktok.comSo, what do you think of all this? Do you think it's fine to remove towels that people have left on pool chairs for hours? Vehemently disagree? LMK in the comments below! And if you want to keep up with Nanny Rachael, be sure to follow her on TikTok!
