Alysa Liu doesn’t appear to have taken much of a breather since winning two Olympic gold medals at the Winter Olympics last month. The American figure skater made the rounds at Hollywood parties for the 2026 Academy Awards last night, with a couple wardrobe changes along the way.
Liu first stopped by the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party. Now in its 34th year, the fundraiser is considered one of the premier events of the night outside of the awards ceremony itself. The Bay Area native showed up in a black suit with a silky white turtleneck blouse with bell sleeves, and her signature striped hair.

While she was walking down the carpet, Liu crashed her teammate Madison Chock’s interview, during which they hugged enthusiastically and promised to catch up inside. With her ice dance partner and husband Evan Bates, Chock won gold in the Team Event with the U.S., which included Liu. Chock and Bates also won silver in the individual ice dance competition. The three-time World Champions recently announced they would not be attending the 2026 World Championships next week.

Chock was dressed similarly to Liu in a black suit with a white vest top. A Ralph Lauren brand ambassador, Chock attended a pre-Oscars party the night prior hosted by Team USA sponsor Delta Air Lines, where she wore a silky green dress by Ralph Lauren, and met with several Hollywood stars. Among them was Oscar nominee and Frankenstein star Jacob Elordi, who had the privilege to hold Chock’s gold medal for a photo op. While Bates was seen with Chock on their media tour around New York City last week, he appears to be taking a break while Chock attended the Oscars events.
Liu was later seen at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party, where she changed into a studded mini-dress with tights and black heels by Louis Vuitton. The 2025 World Champion recently made her Paris Fashion Week debut at the French label’s 2026 show, where she sat front row in a brown denim jacket and matching pants with a monogram Louis Vuitton handbag. Liu told the magazine that she was also eager to see a few other Olympians attending the Oscars, including two members of the gold medal-winning U.S. women’s hockey team, Hilary Knight and Hannah Bilka. Chock also changed for the Vanity Fair party into a sleek black silk gown with a draped tie feature down the back.

After going on a media tour around New York City that included stops at the Today show and The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Liu announced she would also not be competing in the 2026 World Championships in Prague this month after not having enough time to train. But she will be headlining the upcoming Stars On Ice tour traveling across the United States this spring, which will include many of the top competitors from this year’s Olympics, including Chock and Bates, her fellow “Blade Angels” Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito, and two-time World Champion Ilia Malinin.
