Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are easily one of Instagram's favorite couples. The two officially met on the dating app Raya and began seeing each other in March 2020. Because they began their courtship at the height of the pandemic, the pair were able to spend a lot of quality time together while they had time off — a perk the busy athletes don't typically have with their packed schedules.
"It was one of the few times in [Simone's] life where everything was just shut off and she couldn't do anything," Owens told Today. "So we used it to get to know each other — really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now I'm so thankful."
The two would get engaged in February 2022 and wed on April 22, 2023, during an intimate courthouse ceremony in Texas. The pair then held a larger, luxurious ceremony in Cabo San Lucas on May 4 with 144 guests.
