More than 14,000 child car seats were recalled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) after officials said incorrect information was included in the seats' safety manuals.
According to a recall notice from the NHTSA, the recall "affected 14,020" Evenflo-branded car seats, more specifically the company’s LiteMax Factory Select child seats with model number CS100111198.
The issue is with the Spanish version of the seat's safety manual, which incorrectly lists the wrong weight and height limits, according to the NHTSA.
"Incorrect information in the manual may result in an improperly restrained child, increasing the risk of injury in a crash," the recall notice reads.
Owners are expected to receive owner notification letters on March 31. Evenflo will then send customers the correct Spanish manuals free of charge.

Not the first Evenflo car seat recall of 2026
This week's recall comes about two months after Evenflo issued a voluntary recall on more than 74,000 car seats.
The recall affected about 40% of All4One child seats whose adjustable recline mechanism would shift out of position when the seat was facing to the rear. Affected seats are eligible for replacement until March 4, and owner notification letters were mailed starting Jan. 26.
The recalled seats are no longer being produced. Replacements will vary in design.
