Justin Trudeau's son Xavier is sharing what he thinks of his dad's relationship with Katy Perry
The 18-year-old recently made an appearance on content creator G Hobs' Instagram, sharing what he thinks about the "California Gurls" singer and the advice she's given him about music
Trudeau is also the father of daughter Ella-Grace and son Hadrien, while Perry is a mom to daughter Daisy
Justin Trudeau's son, Xavier, is sharing what he thinks about his dad's relationship with Katy Perry.
In an Instagram video posted on Saturday, Feb. 21, the 18-year-old son of the former Canadian Prime Minister joined content creator G Hobs to try the "Afters Meal," a limited time collaboration between McDonald's and Drake's OVO brand. During their conversation, the teen was asked about the "elephant in the room" and whether or not he has met his dad's girlfriend, Katy Perry. "I have," Xavier confirmed.
"She's cool, she's nice," he went on to say, adding that "we talked for hours, talking about my music. She gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff."
The pop star, 41, confirmed her new relationship by sharing an Instagram post on Saturday, Dec. 6, featuring intimate photos and videos from a visit to Japan that included Trudeau, 54. In one image, Perry and Trudeau cozied up, posing cheek to cheek for an outdoor selfie.
A video in the carousel showed the couple eating together — and included moments of them looking lovingly into each other's eyes — as another captured the pair at what appeared to be an interactive art exhibit.

"Tokyo times on tour and more ( ◠‿◠ ) 🎄🍣🐡🥞💐☃️♥️," Perry captioned the social media post.
Days after Perry hard launched her relationship with Trudeau on social media, a source shared insight into how their romance came to fruition. "The only reason this turned into something real is because Justin has been so persistent," the source told PEOPLE at the time. "She wasn't looking to date when they first hung out and she certainly wasn't looking for a boyfriend."

According to the source, their romance came as an "exciting surprise" to her and Trudeau was consistent with his efforts. "He's shown her over and over again that he genuinely wants to see her," the source said. "He's flown all over the world to spend time with her while she toured. She likes spending time with him."
The source concluded, "She's flattered that he's made such a big effort and she's excited to be dating him."
