Daniel Curtis Lee is offering aid to his *Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide *costar Tylor Chase after videos surfaced showing the 36-year-old former actor living on the streets of California.
"A lot of you are concerned about Tylor Chase this holiday season, and I just wanted to give you an update," Lee said in a video posted to his Instagram page on Tuesday. "Shaun Weiss and his team put a lot of effort into trying to get him into a hospital last night — and I thought it worked. His dad told me it worked, but it turns out he kind of backed out. So, today I went to have pizza with him."
Sharing footage from their meal together, Lee explained that he learned that "they couldn't get [Chase] into the car last night" and that's why he didn't make it to the hospital. But Chase "trusted an old friend," allowing Lee to find a room for him at a hotel amid the busy holiday season.

"I just wanted him to have at least basic accommodations," the actor said in his voiceover for the video. "He wanted to stay local, and this was the only one that was open."
The two shared a hug before parting ways, with Lee promising Chase that he'll return to check up on him so they can get his "situation sorted out," including helping him enter rehab. "I believe in you, and all we have to do is stay with it," Lee told his former costar.
"Love you, dude," Chase responded. "Thank you. I'm so happy to see you."
Lee's update comes after the former child star revealed that he had spoken with Chase on the phone in an Instagram video shared on Monday, and that the actor was "really excited" that people have been inspired by him. While Lee said Chase's mom has advised against direct funds for her son, he wanted to look into setting up a trust that was contingent on the actor completing rehab. "He's on my heart often, on my mind often," Lee said.**** "There's been such a huge outpouring of support from the community," he added. "Like I say, I don't like the way some of you guys are going about the videos and stuff like that. But if it's real love and genuine love and support, man, I really think we can get him back on his feet."

Another former child star, Shaun Weiss, responded to a video of Chase living on the streets in Riverside, Calif., on Monday, offering him a place at the Eleven 11 Recovery center in San Clemente, Calif., if he was found and consented to the plan.
"I have received many messages about [Tylor Chase]," Weiss said in a video shared to his Instagram. "I reached out to some friends of mine, and we have a bed for him at a detox, and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment."
*The Mighty Ducks* actor and addiction treatment advocate, who has been open about his long journey from addiction to sobriety, added that if anyone can "get a face-to-face" with Chase, "please DM me so we can get him some help in time for the holiday."
As Lee announced, those supporting Chase are working to get him to commit to rehab, and offering him whatever funds he'll need in the process.
Devon Werkheiser, who played the titular Ned Bigby alongside Lee and Chase on the Nickelodeon's *Ned's Declassified*, also offered his support, opening up about his former TV classmate in a conversation with TMZ on Monday.
"Tylor was a sensitive, sweet, and kind kid. It is heartbreaking to see him this way," Werkheiser told the outlet. "I haven't seen Tylor in almost 20 years since the show ended. Anyone who has dealt with severe addiction and deep mental health issues knows it's an unbelievably challenging situation if they don't want help."

"It's an everyday uphill battle to course-correct," Werkheiser added. "It requires a ton of support and patience and time. My only hope is that from this exposure, someone with real understanding and resources can step in, get Tylor into treatment, and help him get back on track."
