Alysa Liu revealed at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party whether or not she'd consider joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars

The Olympic gold medalist told Entertainment Tonight that she thinks she's "good at dancing" and enjoys it, but that "for now" she'd pass on the offer

Alysa Liu won't be swapping out her ice skates for dance shoes anytime soon.

Liu, 20, made the rounds on Hollywood's biggest night, hitting up both Elton John's Oscars party and then the star-studded Vanity Fair after party on Sunday, March 15, where the gold medalist was asked by ET's Denny Directo if she's been approached to join the cast of Dancing with the Stars and whether or not she'd say yes.

When Dircto asked Liu, "If they called, what would you say?," the Olympic champion shook her head "no" and said that was her "answer for now."

Liu offered little insight into why she'd turn down the gig if ABC called, telling ET, "I don't know if I would do Dancing with the Stars. I love dancing, and I think I'm good at dancing, but I don't know."

Dancing with the Stars has featured multiple Olympic figure skaters in its 34 seasons, including Johnny Weir, Adam Rippon, Kristi Yamaguchi and Meryl Davis.

On March 8, Liu, who won two gold medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, announced on social media that she'll no longer be competing in the upcoming International Skating Union Figure Skating World Championship, which runs from March 24-29 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Liu's fellow Team USA skaters Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito will compete in the final event of the season, however.

"As some of y'all already know, I withdrew from Worlds," Liu said in a since-expired post on her Instagram Stories. "There's been a lot of exciting things happening since my return from Milan, so I'm taking some time for that. I will be cheering everyone on from afar — see y'all next season!!"
