Subs are coming for chicken sandwiches as America's favorite fast food.
For the first time in 11 years, Chick-fil-A is no longer the top-rated quick-service restaurant in the annual American Customer Satisfaction Index, a national survey where customers rate different chains based on food quality, cleanliness and speed, among other things.
Jersey Mike's took the top spot in the results from 16,464 surveys. It received high scores in food quality, order accuracy and convenience, according to the survey.
This was the first year that the survey included sandwich chains as a category, and the restaurants performed well. Jimmy John's was ranked third.

Despite losing its spot at the top, Chick-fil-A's satisfaction score did not change from 2025 to 2026. The chain is consistently rated high for the quality of its chicken and the friendliness of staff.
